Shipping Policy

Delivery
​

When ordering from our web store there are a couple of options for delivery.

​

UK Shipping

We use Royal Mail for shipping with the following option:

  • Standard up to 2kg £2.99 (est. 2 - 3 business days)

  • Standard over 2kg £4.99 (est. 2 -3 business days)

  • 24 Hour up to 2kg £5 (est. 1 - 2 business days)

  • 24 Hour Over 2kg £7.99 (est. 1- 2 business days)

We ship to all UK destinations but if for any reason we have any issues with posting to your area then we will contact to in an effort to resolve the issue. If this results in a change of shipping costs or the use of a different courier will be sure to consult with you and give the option of amending your order. If there is a courier you would prefer to use when fulfilling your order, email us at support@thechimera.co.uk and we will see what we can do. Please note that this result in additional charges.

International Shipping

We send all international shipments using Royal Mail International Tracked. Shipping starts at a flat rate of £15 but this may be amended depending on the order. If this happens you will be contacted first and consulted, you will be able to make amends to your order if desired.

Collection

We offer pick up at our store for free. After completing your order it will be ready for collection within 24 hours. Once it is ready you will be notified via email to arrange a collection time or you can collect any time during our open hours.

Packaging

Where possible we aim to recycle boxes, this means that we will reuse boxes where possible to ship orders. It is therefore possible you receive your order in boxes that feature different logos to what you might expect or have evidence of previous use.

We ensure that all orders are securely packaged when shipping them. This will involve the use of packing paper or bubble wrap. It is our aim to have your items arrive with you in the same condition they left us.

​

Please note that we do have a physical store and some items in an order will be taken from the shelf. This means the outer packaging may display environmental wear but this wont have caused damage to your order.

Loss or Damages

In rare events an order may be lost during delivery, however, we do ask that you wait 14 days from the dispatch date before reporting a lost item. We ask you to wait these 14 days as there times when delays are caused by circumstances outside of our control. If your order has not arrived within that time then please email us at support@thechimera.co.uk. We will then start an investigation and aim to either refund or replace the order within 30 days.

Should an item arrive damaged take pictures of the damaged item and the condition of the packaging it arrived in. Please email these pictures to support@thechimera.co.uk. It is likely that we will ask you to send the damaged items back to use so we can conduct our own investigation. In most cases we will either send you a replacement or refund you the cost of the item and postage fees.

The shipping costs of returning a non-damaged item is your responsibility. Shipping costs are non-refundable, if you receive a refund then the shipping cost will be deducted from the total.

​

It is recommended that when returning an item you use a tracked option or purchasing insurance. We cannot guarantee that the item will be delivered to us successfully.
